Rivero Ledger for iPhone

Getting in

Download Rivero Ledger from the App Store, then sign in with Apple or Google. Pick your name at the table, a unique username, a color and, if you like, a photo. If you have set a password in Settings → Profile, the sign-in screen also takes a username and password.

Starting a night

Open Tonight and press Start tonight's game. Add everybody at the table with what they bought in for. Anyone at the table can add a rebuy from their own phone as the night goes on; they all count, even when two people tap at once.

Settling up

When you're done, enter what each person cashed out. The app refuses to settle until the chips add up, and tells you by how much they're off, because that is the mistake everyone actually makes. Then it works out who pays who, in the fewest payments or through one banker, lets you copy it for the group chat, and freezes the night as a record.

Joining a shared tracker

You start in your own private ledger and are shared into nothing. To join a friend's game, tap the link they sent you, or tap the tracker name at the top of the app, choose Join with a code, and enter the eight-character code. Anyone with the link is in and can pass it on, so treat it like the address of the game.

Notifications

The app can tell you when someone joins one of your shared trackers or starts a night in one. Pick which under Settings → Notifications. If you tapped Don't Allow when the iPhone asked, turn them back on in the iPhone's Settings app, under Rivero Ledger.

Hosting a tracker

Making a shared tracker of your own needs a hosting plan: Host (1 shared tracker), Host+ (3) or Club (10), under Settings → Hosting & plan. As the host you set Permissions: who can start a night, log a rebuy on somebody else's row, close and settle, reopen a settled night, and the rest. You can remove people, let them back in, and hand the tracker over to someone else who has a plan.

Your subscription

It is billed through Apple. To cancel or change it, use Settings → Hosting & plan → Cancel or manage in the App Store, or your iPhone's Settings → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next payment; hosting runs to the end of what you have already paid for. If a plan lapses, trackers beyond its limit become read-only. Nothing is deleted, and paying again unfreezes them. New phone, or reinstalled? Restore a purchase in the plans sheet.

Your data

Settings has Export as CSV, which hands you a tracker's nights as a file. Your results follow your account: sign in with the same Apple or Google account on a new phone and everything is there. To delete your account, go to Settings → Profile → Delete my account. Cancel any subscription first; deleting the account does not cancel it.
